"There's no justification.  These things should not happen," said Ernesto Castano a witness to the scene.

According to officers, both women were inside the deceased woman's vehicle at the time of the shooting.

The critically injured woman was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Police prevented club patrons from going home as they searched for clues and closed off the parking lot.

"I wanted to go to my car because on the other side they told me that I had to stay because they told me that somebody got shot," said Mario Dubon.  "I've been waiting for about four hours to go to my house and police told me, I'm sorry, you cannot leave."

The scene startled people at the club.

"The club is pretty safe.  That's why I come here.  If not, I wouldn't come.  But now with what's happening, I may not come anymore," said Castano.

"Everywhere you go, you can't go out and have fun because look at what happens," added Osvil Garcia.  "We're not safe anymore."

Anyone with information about the crime can call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
