KEY WEST (CBSMiami) -- The Fantasy Fest Street Fair is in full swing on Key West's famed Duval Street, and revelers are prepping and primping for Friday evening's Masquerade March as a rain-producing weather system moves away from South Florida and the Keys. The street fair continues through 10 p.m. Friday.

Street Fair attendees are picking up costumes, masks and accessories for the festival's two highlight events: the Masquerade March that begins at the Key West Cemetery and travels through historic Old Town, and Saturday night's 3Wishes.com Fantasy Fest parade that typically attracts some 60,000 people.

"Fantasy Fest is ready for a terrific weekend and we're delighted that the weather is expected to cooperate," said festival director Linda O'Brien.

A few events were canceled or postponed earlier in the week when a complex weather system triggered consistent and often heavy rainfall. However, there are clear skies and almost no chance for rain for events on Saturday, as well as Saturday evening's 3wishes.com Fantasy Fest parade, the 10-day costuming and masking festival's most elaborate event.

Fantasy Fest concludes Sunday with a Children's Day at a local park.
