Ammonia Leak At North Miami Frozen Foods Warehouse
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue hazardous materials team has contained an ammonia leak detected at a food distribution warehouse in North Miami.

Firefighters were ordered to stay out of the Southeast Frozen Foods warehouse at 18770 NE 6th Avenue until the leak refrigeration system could be assessed and addressed. Two hours after the call went out, Firefighters went in and were able to contain the leak.
Five employees were sickened by the leak; four were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital for observation and treatment.
Two workers were in serious condition, two were in stable condition, but the fifth employee's condition is unknown.
