West African Delegates Skipping South Florida Conference

BOCA RATON (AP) — Ebola concerns led to a change for the West African delegates at a South Florida conference.  The delegates from that area of the world will not be attending.

The Millennium Campus Conference beginning Friday at Lynn University in Boca Raton was to include more than 500 participants focused on global poverty. But a spokeswoman for Lynn says organizers have decided to call off the attendance of seven delegates from Liberia, which has been ravaged by Ebola.

The weekend events will otherwise go on as planned.

Among those slated to appear are Pulitzer Prize winner Nicholas Kristof and "Sex and the City" actress Kristin Davis, both of whom are receiving awards.
