Miami Beach Officials Investigate Suspicious Package On Bus
MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – Miami Beach officials investigated a suspicious package that was found on a bus Saturday afternoon.
Just after 3 p.m., the package was detonated by police and was not considered a threat.
The scene unfolded near 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue just after noon Saturday.
Eastbound 17th Street had to be shut down west of Washington Avenue as the bomb squad arrived to investigate.
Miami-Dade Transit authorities reported no one was on the county bus at the time and therefore no injuries were reported.
