Opening Of Temp Ramp From SR 826 To SW 8th St. Postponed

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The opening of a new temporary ramp from State Road 826 to SW 8th Street has been postponed due to our recent rain.

The new opening date is now tentatively set for Monday, October 6th.

When the new ramp is opened, drivers on southbound SR 826 going to SW 8 Street will need to exit a half mile earlier at the same ramp used to access West Flagler Street. Drivers not using the new exit will need to continue south and exit at Coral Way. This configuration is expected to be in place for approximately three to four weeks.

Drivers on westbound and eastbound SR 836 must use the West Flagler Street ramps to also access SW 8th Street.

In order to prepare for the opening of the new ramp, the following closures are:

The West Flagler Street ramp to southbound SR 826 will be closed on Thursday morning, October 2 at 10 a.m. and reopen on Monday, October 6 at 5:30 a.m.

Westbound drivers on West Flagler Street going to southbound SR 826 can:
*West to NW 87 Avenue
*South to SW 8 Street
*East to SR 826

Eastbound drivers on West Flagler Street going to southbound SR 826 can:
*Continue east to NW 72 Avenue, turn south
*Right on Tamiami Canal Road to SW 8 Street
*West to SR 826

The southbound SR 826 ramp to West Flagler Street will be closed Saturday night, October 4 at 10 p.m. and reopen on Monday, October 6 at 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
*Continue south on SR 826
*Exit at Coral Way, go east to access the northbound SR 826 ramp
*Exit at West Flagler Street

The southbound SR 826 ramp to SW 8 Street will be closed Sunday night, October 5 at 10 p.m. and reopen on Monday, October 6 at 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
*Continue south on SR 826
*Exit at Coral Way, go east to access the northbound SR 826 ramp
*Exit at SW 8 Street

Two southbound lanes on SR 826 will be closed from SR 836 to SW 8 Street on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
