Miami Heat Goes Pink, Announces Free Scrimmage Game

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Heat fans get ready to put on your red, white and – pink.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Miami Heat has teamed up with Baptist Health Breast Center to announce the HEAT "Red, White & Pink" Game on October 1.

The open scrimmage game will consist of four full quarters and a halftime ceremony to honor local survivors of breast cancer. The Miami HEAT Dancers, Burnie and the Xtreme Team will also perform.

Throughout the game, Heat players will wear special edition shooting shirts that will also be auctioned off by the Baptist Health Breast Center beginning on Thursday, October 2nd. Proceeds from the auction will go to the center for research.

Fans will only get the opportunity to attend the free game if they register for tickets on Tickemaster.com. Each person is allowed to get four tickets. The first 5,000 fans will receive a HEAT Red, White & Pink Game t-shirt.

The game starts at 7:00 p.m. and will be held at the American Airlines Arena. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
