Ft. Lauderdale Hosts Spa Chic Through September

MIAMI (CBSMiami) –  Broward residents or those just looking for some luxury treatment without breaking the bank can take part in Fort Lauderdale's spa month.

Just entering a spa seems to melt away the stresses of life.

The Heavenly Spa at the Weston Diplomat Resort in Hollywood makes sure that feeling of 'Zen' is everywhere.

This spa is just one of 17 spas participating in the Lauderdale Spa Chic, where throughout the month of September people can experience sublime resort spa luxury for less.

At the Heavenly Spa, one patron received the balance facial and eye treatment. It's a complete cleansing and moisturizing treatment designed to even out complexion and soften fine lines.

"It's totally customized for your skin," said spa director Arielle Feinberg.

The special eye treatment combined with the mask helps penetrate the moisturizer into the skin, smoothing out those unwanted lines.

Those who attend Lauderdale Spa Chic will also get a bang for their buck because all of the treatments at every spa run $99 each.

They're about 50% off the regular treatment price, so you can get two treatments for what you would be paying for the price of one treatment," said Jessica Savage of the Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The second treatment on the menu is the heavenly signature massage with reflexology and it's all about the feet. Having your feet rubbed is one of the true pleasures in life.

All of the spas participating are in Broward County, so if you live there you're lucky but if not, it's worth the drive.

Spa week is on until September 30th, so treat yourself. You deserve it.
