Recall Issued For Adaptor Used To Charge Electronics

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A voluntary recall was issued for a USB to AC power adapter due to the possibility it could be a burn hazard.

Gemini manufacturing has recalled about 31,000 of the affected adapters/chargers.

The adapters were sold from October 2013 to April 2014.  Consumers are advised to stop using the plug or make arrangements to return it.

Those devices affected have the following numbers on the side: ADCP3-1000

They have an SKU of IT108.

The recalled adaptor/chargers are used to charge cell phones and other electronic products.

They are plastic cubes about 1" to 1 ¼" on one side with two prongs for plugging into an electrical outlet and a USB port on the other.

The company said the recalled chargers come in five different colors: black, blue, green, red and white.

Gemini received one complaint of a burn and decided to issue the recall.
