Focus on South Florida: Gay Pride Month

June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month. L-G-B-T Pride Month is currently celebrated each year in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City.
The Stonewall riots were a tipping point for the gay liberation movement in this country. Gay pride month events across South Florida are plentiful, and nowhere is that more so than in Wilton Manors where a large percentage of the population identifies as LGBT. We look at what's being planned and how Gay Pride Month has evolved over the years. Click on the above picture to watch the interview.
