Flipped Tractor Trailer Blocks U.S. 27 Lanes

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A major mess on U.S. 27 early Monday afternoon.

A tractor trailer hauling rolls of aluminum jackknifed and flipped at mile marker 42 just before noon. The truck came to a rest blocking all of the southbound lanes.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said the strips of aluminum began to unroll when the driver lost control and stretched for about a quarter mile of the highway.
