Focus on South Florida: Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness
Since 1978, the Family Resource Center of South Florida has been a champion of the rights of children to grow up in a healthy and safe environment. Founded by a group of concerned citizens, today the agency is a leader in child welfare services in its ongoing mission to help prevent and treat child abuse and neglect. This is a pressing problem in Florida. As part of child abuse prevention and awareness month, we focus on what can be done to identify and prevent future occurrences.
