Neighbors: Man Thrown From Car, Shot Multiple Times
MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) – Miami Gardens police are investigating a shooting that left one man hospitalized Tuesday.
Neighbors heard gunshots around 11:00 a.m. in the 3200 block of NW 196th Lane in Miami Gardens, not too far from Sun Life Stadium.
Neighbors told CBS4's Ted Scouten that the victim was pushed out of a car and once he was on the ground, he was shot multiple times.
"I think it was from like a revolver, it wasn't like rapid shots, cuz you heard, single, boom, boom boom like that. Basically that's what we heard and they haven't found the shells or nothing on the street," said neighbor Ronald Colson.
A neighbor said paramedics arrived quickly to the scene and began working on the victim, who is in his early 20s.
Paramedics airlifted the shooting victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.
Police are looking for a gray 4-door Nissan Altima.
