Former Governor Jeb Bush To Headline CT Awards Dinner

STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT (CBSMiami/AP) — Florida's former governor will be the star speaker at the Connecticut Republican Party's 36th annual Prescott Bush Awards Dinner.

Former Governor Jeb Bush is among a crowded field of prospective 2016 presidential candidates. He is scheduled to be the keynote speaker for the event scheduled for Friday at the Stamford Hilton Hotel.

Bush is the grandson of the late Prescott Bush Sr. of Greenwich, a former U.S. senator from Connecticut.

Tickets to the dinner cost $250 per person, while tickets to the photo reception cost $2,500 per person.

Two-time U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon is expected to receive this year's Prescott Bush Award. GOP Chairman Jerry Labriola called McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, "a tireless advocate for Republicans."
