MIAMI (CBSMiami) – TMZ has obtained a copy of pop singer Justin Bieber’s videotaped deposition that he gave in Miami and the gossip website put it, “it’s just unreal.”

Bieber was in Miami on Thursday, March 6th giving the deposition as part of a lawsuit filed against him by a Miami Beach paparazzo.

Last June, photographer Jeffrey Binion slapped a suit on the Biebs after he claims he was roughed up by one his bodyguards under the singer’s orders. Binion claims he was assaulted while snapping pictures of Bieber outside of The Hit Factory recording studio in North Miami Beach.

Binion’s lawsuit claims Bieber “Directed [Hugo] Hesny and three other bodyguards to confront [Binion] and to forcibly take the memory card from [his] camera.”

In the deposition video obtained by TMZ, Bieber appears angry, arrogant, flippant and defiant.

Bieber admitted under oath that he did not have a prescription for the anxiety drug Xanax, which he told the Miami Beach Police Department he had been taking when he was arrested here earlier this year.

Throughout the proceedings, Bieber appeared flippant and smug. “Guess what,” Bieber asks opposing counsel.  “I don’t recall.”  “Why don’t you listen to what I have to say first,” says the attorney.  “I don’t have to listen to anything you say,” Bieber sniped back.

Here’s the first clip:

When questioning turned to Bieber’s ex-love Selena Gomez, he simply got annoyed and angry. At one point asking, “Journalism, this isn’t journalism!”  When Binion’s lawyer Mark DiCowden continued to bring up Gomez, Justin seemed frustrated and eventually said “Don’t ask me about her again.”  He eventually left the room for a break.

In another clip, Bieber compared his interrogation to being grilled by Katie Couric or 60 Minutes.

In the final clip released, Bieber was asked about his long-time mentor Usher who was key to launching Justin’s career. Bieber dissed Usher and said he was actually discovered on YouTube.

When the question was repeated, he replied, “Usher? Yeah, that sounds familiar.” He then looked at the camera and said, “I was found on YouTube. I think I was detrimental to my own career.” DiCowden complained that he was right next to Justin but could not hear the answer, at which point Bieber’s attorney jumped in and said Bieber had just explained that he was instrumental to his own career. “Instrumental,” Bieber repeated.

Here’s the clip:

Meantime, Bieber has a status hearing scheduled for Tuesday, March 11th in his Miami Beach DUI case, which also includes a charge of resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired license. Bieber has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Breath tests showed that his blood-alcohol content was below the 0.02 level considered intoxicated for underage drivers, but a urine test found the presence of marijuana and the antidepressant Xanax.

Miami Beach police stopped him Jan. 23 after what they said was an illegal street drag race involving exotic cars.
