Electronics & Household Waste Recycling Event In Broward

LAUDERDALE LAKES (AP) — Residents of several Broward cities who have old electronics or outdated household chemicals taking up space in their homes can get rid of them safely Sunday at a recycling event.

The free Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling drop-off event will take place in Lauderdale Lakes. The drop off location is one block west of State Road 7 and N.W. 36 St. (Parking lot across from Parks & Recreation Sports Complex).

Residents in participating cities can attend: Cooper City, Dania Beach, Deerfield Beach, Hollywood, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Lauderdale Lakes, Margate, Parkland, Pembroke Park, Sea Ranch Lakes, Unincorporated Broward, West Park, Weston and Wilton Manors.

Old computers, monitors and televisions can be recycled along with pesticides, paint at the drop-off event.

Proof of residency must be shown. This include a photo ID with current address showing residency in one of the cities named above and one of the following: a utility bill, a vehicle registration, or a trim notice/tax bill.

Residents of participating cities may also drop-off household hazardous waste and electronics every Saturday in Pompano Beach, Davie and West Park.
