Warmer Days Ahead

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It is Grammy night, but our weather should be up for an award Sunday.

A mixture of sun and clouds with warm temperatures will be our forecast for the next couple of days. Highs on Sunday afternoon will reach 78 to 80 degrees. Clouds will move through during the afternoon. A couple of showers are possible well north of Lake Okeechobee, but most of South Florida will remain dry.

Low temperatures Sunday night will not be as cool with most coastal areas feeling the middle 60s and the inland areas seeing lower 60s.

Jackets and long sleeves would be good ideas for late night plans.

Monday expect more sunshine and a few clouds with highs near 80 degrees.

A cold front will approach South Florida for the middle of the week. However, computer models differ some, for now. Most show a little milder air staying around for Thursday and Friday. A few of the models do suggest some chilly temperatures arriving for Thursday morning.
