Hotel To Host "Dance-Off" For The Next Skyline Dancer

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – After almost a year of dancing in the downtown skyline, the woman shaking it on the façade of the InterContinental Hotel is being retired. Want to take her place? The Hotel is hosting a "dance off."

If you've driven to or through downtown at night in the past year, you may have caught a glimpse of the 200-foot tall woman that whips her hair around and shakes her hips on the façade of the InterContinental Hotel at 100 Chopin Plaza.

Well, after approximately a year of dancing on a neon backdrop in the downtown skyline, that current dancer is being retired and the hotel is encouraging all genres of dancers to audition to be the next "mover and shaker" on Thursday November 21.

The hotel, according to the press release on the hotel's website, will provide the music—all skyline dancer contestants need to bring are their best moves.

Dance moves will be judged by VH1's Jane Castro along with members from the Miami City Ballet as well as the Miami Heat.

Winner, or winners, of the contest will not only see their silhouette grooving in the downtown skyline, but will receive a free staycation package at the hotel, according to the hotel.

All contestants must be 18 or older. To find out more about where to go and how to audition, click here.
