Boil Water Order Lifted For Eastern Sunrise

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Good news for residents of eastern Sunrise who've been under a boil water order since Monday.

You can now tap into your tap water. As of 3 p.m. the boil water order was lifted.

The precautionary order was issued after a water main at NW 19th Street and NW 60th Avenue sprung a leak. It impacted customers of Sunrise Utilities who live from NW 11th Street north to NW 24th Street and from NW 58th Terrace west to NW 68th Avenue.

Sunrise Utilities said approximately 1,500 customers were affected.

During a boil water order, residents were urged to use bottled water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, washing, brushing teeth and making ice or infant formula.
