Signs Go Up At New Trader Joe's In Pinecrest

PINECREST (CBSMiami) – It's getting closer.

Last week the signs went up on the new Trader Joe's location in Pinecrest which is scheduled to open this fall.

Located in the 9200 block of South Dixie Highway, where a Borders bookstore used to be, the store is scheduled to open October 18th, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald.

The store, the first in Miami-Dade, has 13,500 square feet and will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily.

This will be the fourth Trader Joe's in the state of Florida.

The other three are located in Gainesville, Naples and Sarasota.  A Tallahassee store is also slated to open in October.

Trader Joe's has a cult-like following for its gourmet and organic items, often value-priced, including prepared foods. The store also carries staples such as bread and milk, pet food and flowers. More than 80 percent of the products are private label.

The Miami-Dade store started hiring on Monday Sept. 9th.

Those interested must apply in person at the store.  Click here  to download an application or get one in person at the store.

Since its launch in 1958 in the Los Angeles area, Trader Joe's has expanded to more than 390 stores in 35 states.
