MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Cuba’s patron saint, La Caridad del Cobre known as Our Lady of Charity will be honored during a large Mass Sunday evening at the Our Lady of Charity Shrine in Coconut Grove.
Miami Archbishop Thomas Wenski will lead the services which begin at 7:00 p.m.
The event is an annual celebration.
Our Lady of Charity is known as an inspiration to many Spanish artists.
At this year’s event, a song written by Latin Grammy winner Jorge Luis Piloto will be unveiled and performed by Miami singer Ana Maria Perera for the first time in public.
Proceeds from the sale of the song will help to benefit Our Lady of Charity Shrine on South Miami Avenue.
