MIAMI (CBS4) – Two men are under arrest accused of throwing a fire bomb into a vacant home in Miami Wednesday night.

Miami Police spokesperson Kenia Reyes said an officer in the Tactical Response Unit saw the home at 1223 Northwest 37 Street engulfed in flames just before 6 p.m. As the officer called for Miami Fire-Rescue to respond to the scene, he was approached by a witness who said she saw who started the fire.

The witness gave police the description of two men who appeared to have thrown a Molotov cocktail into the home. Shortly after, two men fitting the description were arrested nearby.

Officer Reyes said the suspects are being interviewed by burglary detectives.

The suspects have not been identified.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
