S. Fla. Bank Robber's Getaway Car Had Georgia Plates
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The FBI has released a surveillance picture of a man who robbed a Lighthouse Point bank Monday in hopes that someone recognizes him and gives them a call.
The robbery happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Capital Bank branch at 4420 N Federal Highway.
Witnesses said the man entered the bank, walked up to a teller and demanded cash. After teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money, the man left in a hurry.
The FBI said there were customers in the bank at the time of the robbery but no one was hurt.
It is believed the getaway vehicle is a 2013 Dodge/Chrysler 200, gray/silver in color bearing Georgia license plate number "PBD 8921".
