Man Shot In NE Dade Motel Parking Lot
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A man sitting in a car in a northeast Miami-Dade motel parking lot died after he was shot late Sunday night.
Miami-Dade police said the man was sitting in a white Cadillac SUV outside of the Sun n Surf motel on NE 111 Street and Biscayne Blvd around 11:30 p.m. when someone walked up to him and opened fire.
Police have not released the name of the man who died.
The manager of the motel said the man was staying there with his girlfriend. He said the man went out to his car to smoke and that's when a man wearing a hoodie came up, shot him in the neck area and then ran off. He added that the gunman didn't take anything.
The motel's surveillance cameras captured the shooting. Police are now reviewing the video to try and identify the gunman.
