"Grown Ups" Gang Back For Summer Sequel

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The "Grown Ups" movie gang is back in action for a sequel. In this summer's "Grown Ups 2," writer, producer and star Adam Sandler's character, Lenny, moves back to his hometown with his family and friends.

"Adam, you've got a reputation as being sort of one of the most loyal guys in Hollywood because you kind of re-employ the people that you love and have worked with," said CBS4's Lisa Petrillo.

"And they re-employ me also," Sandler said. "These guys are great. They're funny as hell and their nice enough to do these movies and we write and we feel comfortable with each other and we do like making the movies with each other."

"So chemistry is the name of the game because when you guys all get together on screen, it's just a blast I assume?" Petrillo said.

"I think that's what makes it fun, when you are comfortable with people you can try things you're not, you know, normally you'd be kind of embarrassed that people are going to judge you and this and that, so it kind of frees you off to do whatever you want to do. I can eat in front of them I'm not ashamed," said Kevin James.  "He certainly does," joked Sandler.

As the single friend in the film, David Spade took quite a ride, literally inside of a tire.

"I couldn't believe it," said James explaining to Petrillo that they asked Spade to do it a second time when he looked "too scared" on the first take.

"I threw up watching you," joked James.

For Salma Hayek, who plays Sandler's wife, the fun never stops.

"There are a lot of egos in Hollywood and these guys don't have egos. It's interesting to work with them . They all help each other and I think that's why it's so much fun," Hayek said.

Grown Ups 2 is rated PG-13.
