Daycare Worker Accused Of Molestation

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A daycare worker in Broward has been accused of doing the unthinkable.

Thirty-eight-year-old Olakunle Omomowo of Lauderhill was arrested Tuesday. He's been charged with two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation on victims less than twelve years old.

Omomowo is a teacher at the Discovery Preschool, at 5601 Regency Lakes Blvd in Coconut Creek.

Police have not said where Omomowo reportedly molested the victim/victims and/or if they attended the school.

Discovery Preschool in Coconut Creek issued the following statement about the arrest:

"Discovery Preschool is committed to providing high quality child care and learning opportunities in a safe, nurturing environment, and our most important responsibility is to ensure the health and safety of the children in our care. We are taking this situation very seriously, and we immediately notified the appropriate authorities as well as the families we serve as soon as the concerns were brought to our attention. We are supporting everyone involved to ensure a thorough investigation into this situation and will continue to support the children and families that we serve in every way we can."
