Woman's Body Found In Lauderhill Lot

LAUDERHILL (CBSMiami) – Lauderhill police have more questions than answers after a woman's body was found in a parking lot.

It was discovered around 8 a.m. in the lot at 3759 NW 16th Street. The body, covered in blood, was lying in between two vehicles.

"That's just crazy.  This is a quiet area.  I mean nobody bothers anyone around here at all.  I've been in here at 10, 11, 12 o'clock at night, it's very, very quiet back here," said Ted McCauley.

McCauley works in the warehouse building which was cordoned off by police tape.  He said he normally parks in the lot where the body was found.

Police said so far they don't have any witnesses. They said it's unclear whether she was killed in the parking lot or elsewhere and then dumped in the lot.

"I don't know. There are people in here all night long working in these shops, so anything is possible. It's just a shame," said McCauley.

Police have not released the woman's name or speculated as to what may have led up to her death.
