BOCA RATON (CBSMiami) – A South Florida philanthropist with a famous last name was arrested Sunday and charged with domestic battery.
Conrad Hilton III is the 53-year-old grandson of the founder of the Hilton hotel chain.
Hilton, according to a Boca Raton police report, was at Abe and Louie’s at 2200 Glades Road when a police officer witnessed him stand up from a seated position at the bar, and grab and push his girlfriend.
The girlfriend didn’t want to talk to police about the incident and told them he was a good man but was “slightly intoxicated.”
Hilton was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and released without bond after making his first appearance before a Palm Beach County judge.
Hilton, of West Palm Beach, is a cousin of socialite Paris Hilton. His father, Conrad Hilton, Jr., was briefly married to Elizabeth Taylor before his marriage to a Texas oil heiress, Patricia McClintock.
He lists his occupation as philanthropist and sits on the governing board of the Conrad Hilton Foundation according to its website.
