1 Dead, 19 Hurt In Fla. Turnpike Accident

KENANSVILLE (CBSMiami/AP) — A forty-six year old North Miami woman was killed and 19 others hurt after an accident on the Florida Turnpike Saturday night in Kenansville.

The accident happened just outside of Orlando where members of a Miami-based church group, GSC Community Inc., was travelling in a church van for a mission trip, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Willem Camille, 42, was behind the wheel of the van when something went wrong with one of the tires, said FHP spokeswoman Kim Montes.

Camille lost control and as the van rolled over several times a woman was ejected.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and Camille was seriously hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.
