Man Arrested Over DVD Showing Kids In Sex Acts
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A man who allegedly owned a DVD containing videos of children engaging in sex acts was arrested Friday.
Samuel Nicaragua, 48, was arrested after his live-in girlfriend turned in the DVD to police. She said the DVD was her boyfriend's.
When police confronted Nicaragua about the DVD on Friday, he told them the purpose was "to demonstrate to his family that there are bad people in the world doing bad things."
Nicaragua was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. The man was then transported to Dade County Jail.
At his initial court appearance Saturday afternoon, Nicaragua was ordered held on $7,500 bond. He paid the money and was released. However, his case was reset for Sunday because the paperwork was not ready.
