Man Shot Behind Lauderdale Liquor Store
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Office is trying to determine if a man was targeted for murder after he was gunned down behind a Ft. Lauderdale liquor store.
Around after 9 p.m. Saturday, Gene Warren, 39, made a purchase at Troy's Lounge at 2990 W. Sunrise Blvd.
He left the business and returned to his car, which was parked at the rear of the store. Moments later, a black Chrysler 200 pulled up, a man got out of the backseat and shot Warren. The man then got back in and car sped off.
Warren was taken to Broward General Medical Center where he died.
