Time To Get Your "Q" On As SoBe Wine & Food Fest Opens

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- If you're into fine food, wonderful wine and lots of fun, this weekend is for you. The South Beach Wine and Food Festival kicks off Thursday night.

There are dozens of events taking place over the next several days, featuring celebrity chefs such as Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, Bobby Flay and a whole lot more.

The festival's kickoff event is "The Q", hosted by Paula Deen.

With tickets to "The Q" reaching $300 each, it's one of the many sold out events at this weekend's festival.

Paula Deen will be joined by her two sons, Jaime and Bobby Deen at the event which is only in its second year at the festival.

It features a collection of the best BBQ chefs from the across the nation, grilling up their signature dishes like chicken, ribs, brisket and pork butts with plenty of smoky side dishes.

"The Q" takes place from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the sand behind the Delano Hotel at 1685 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach.

Afterward, guests can dance the night away while sipping delicious cocktail concoctions at "The Q After Dark."

As the festival opens, most of events are sold out.

Thursday, there were still a limited number of tickets available for Sunday's $225 Grand Tasting, select wine seminars and Fun & Fit as a Family which takes place at Jungle Island.
