Two Men Arrested After Stolen Truck Chase

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A two county police chase ended with two men being taken into custody in Hialeah.

Around 3:45 a.m. Thursday, the owner of a Ford F-350 called the Broward Sheriff's Office and told them his truck, which was parked at 4771 NE 15th Way in Oakland Park, had been stolen.

The sheriff's office said the two men who took the truck also stole a golf cart from the carport of the truck owner's neighbor.  They loaded the cart into the truck's bed and off they went.

Deputies spotted the stolen truck heading south on I-95 near I-595. The chased it west on I-595 then south on I-75 onto the Palmetto Expressway where it exited into Hialeah.

In the 300 block of E 59th Street the chase came to an end when the truck stopped and the two men inside bailed out. They were quickly taken into custody.  They have been identified as 28-year old Gabriel Rodriguez from Hialeah and 36-year old Juan Rodriguez of Leisure City.

Both men face charges of residential burglary and grand theft auto.
