MIAMI (CBSMiami) — A City of Miami police officer, taking part in a funeral procession, was hospitalized Tuesday after being involved in a crash.
It happened at Southwest 32nd street and 113rd Court where the officer’s motorcycle collided with a pick-up truck.
According to Miami-Dade police officials, the Miami motorman was struck by a driver who made an improper left turn. She will be cited for the improper turn and charged with driving without a license.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center to be treated.
He is expected to be fine.
