TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) – Florida State Seminoles defensive end Bjoern Werner will be taking his talents to the NFL next season, foregoing his senior season as a Nole, according to ESPN’s Joe Schad.
Werner, 6’4” and 255 pounds, had 40 tackles, 13 sacks, and 18 tackles for loss in 2012. Werner added 7 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery this season. For his career, Werner had 97 total tackles, 35 tackles for loss and 23.5 sacks.
CBSSports.com’s draft preview rates Werner as the top defensive end in the 2013 NFL Draft and has him being drafted in the top five.
