WESTON (CBSMiami) – The investigation continues into a crash in Weston Saturday morning which sent four cyclists to the hospital.

The bicyclists were part of a group that was struck by a car on U.S. 27, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Dani Moschella said one of the injured bicyclists was airlifted to a hospital. The three other bicyclists also were hospitalized. Moschella says two of the bicyclists were “trauma alerts.”

U.S. 27 was briefly closed while a helicopter landed to airlift one bicyclist to a hospital.
