Report: Chalmers Tears Tendon In Finger

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat were humiliated Tuesday when they lost to the Washington Wizards, 105-101. The team also lost a key piece of the attack in point guard Mario Chalmers.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Chalmers could be out up to five games after he tore a tendon in his left ring finger during the loss to the Wizards. The injury happened in the first half of the game.

"It's hard to say right now," Chalmers told the Sun-Sentinel. "I got to go back to the team doctor and see what they say."

The Heat will likely use point guard Norris Cole in Chalmers place, but he didn't play in the Wizards game due to a groin strain and is listed as day-to-day, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
