Anger & Frustration At Madonna's Miami Concert

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – There was plenty of anger and frustration among Madonna fans in Miami Monday night as the Material Girl took to the stage more than three hours late and fans left the AmericanAirlines Arena demanding refunds.

Madonna was supposed to perform at 8:00 p.m. but didn't take the stage until just after 11:30 p.m.

Fans took to Twitter to voice their anger over the delay and others simply left the Triple A and stood outside the box office to await a refund.

These South Florida Madonna fans feel disrespected.

"She's not on stage yet and it's 11:36. She was supposed to be here at 8:00," said one angry fan.

Others agreed.

"We drove an hour and a half to come to this concert. We have kids. We got a babysitter and tomorrow we have to work. It's ridiculous."

The fans said Madonna should have treated her Miami fans much better.

"It's not so much about the money, it's more the principle. You can't disrespect people and show up three hours late and not have any reason for it."

"It's so disrespectful. We were excited to see her and that was just totally disrespectful and to not even have some kind of reason for being late," said another angry fan.

"I'm very angry for an icon like this to leave us standing here waiting three and a half hours. Maybe she doesn't have it anymore. Maybe it's time to hang it up, like a virgin."

So what happened, why was Madonna late to take the stage?

Representatives at the AmericanAirlines Arena said the delay was caused by a problem with the production of a video.

Madonna has has another concert scheduled for Tuesday night in Miami. Her website says the show is sold out.
