MIAMI (CBS) – An 82-year old man is Miami-Dade County’s second confirmed case of locally acquired Dengue Fever this year.

The county’s health department said the first case was a woman in her 60s who contracted it last September.

Symptoms of Dengue Fever may include headache, fever, fatigue, dizziness, weakness, pain behind the eyes, joint pain, and confusion.

To prevent getting the mosquito-borne illness residents are urged to remove any standing water and cover skin with clothing or repellant when outside especially as dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
