Reality Star's Son Pleads Not Guilty In Homeless Attack

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – The son of a South Florida reality star has pleaded not guilty for allegedly beating a homeless man and posting the video of it online.

Peter Rosello, 20, was not in court for Friday's hearing. His attorney entered a written not guilty plea and the judge set another court date for Nov. 29th.

In early October, Rosello, who is the son of Alexia Echeverria of the "Real Housewives of Miami" show, turned himself in to Miami Beach police and was charged with battery on a homeless person, a 3rd degree felony that could mean up to five years in prison if convicted.

In the 36-second video clip, a person who police believe is Rosello walked up to a sleeping homeless man, said,  "Going to punch a hobo in the nuts" and then reared back and punched him in the groin before running off. Police identified the homeless man as "Mr. Brown."

Detectives said the video was posted to Rosello's personal Facebook page before it was removed.

CBS4 caught up with Brown near the site of the attack on Lincoln Road following Rosello's arrest.

"Are you ok with an arrest?" he was asked.

"Yep," he answered.

"It's what you wanted?" he was asked.

"Yep," he responded.
