A Soggy Monday, But Drier Air Is On The Way

MIAMI (CBS4) – Sunday's soggy weather continued into Monday thanks to a stalled frontal boundary draped across northern Florida and plenty of deep tropical moisture.

Throughout the day, CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said we'll see scattered showers and some storms which will produce heavy downpours, lightning and gusty winds which have the potential for localized flooding.

The cold front will sag south across the peninsula through Tuesday, so expect more passing storms. However, drier air is on the way behind the front as high pressure builds in on Wednesday which will lower the rain chance and humidity levels.

Lows will remain in the mid to upper 70s and highs will be in the upper 80s but we'll see the return of the sun and the breeze will pick up.
