Heat Holding Public Scrimmage On Wednesday

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Almost every South Florida sports fan would love to watch the Miami Heat, but how about being able to do it for free?

The Heat announced Friday that it will host its "Red & White" game, which is an open scrimmage featuring the 2012-13 roster, next Wednesday, October 3 at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.

The event is free, but fans who want to see the action will have to register for a ticket on Ticketmaster.com starting Saturday at 10 a.m. There will be no tickets available at the Arena Box Office and a limit of four tickets per transaction.

The scrimmage game will be four quarters plus a halftime and include everything from player introductions, the national anthem and performances by the Heat dancers, Burnie, Banana M an, and the Xtreme Team.

It will also be the first glimpse of the retooled Heat roster that will once again feature the Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh; plus Shane Battier, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole and the rest of the Heat's roster.
