TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) — Gov. Rick Scott ranked 43^rd in Modern Healthcare’s list of the 100 most influential people in health care.

The South Florida Business Journal said the list includes another Floridian, Gary Newsome, at number 47.

Newsome is president and CEO of Health Management Associates Inc. (NYSE: HMA) in Naples.

Modern Healthcare readers nominated candidates for the list, then cast votes on the nominees. U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts topped this year’s list.
