MARGATE (CBSMiami) — A Margate customer-service center with retail, healthcare, insurance and auto industry clients has plans to create 196 new jobs.

While Global Response’s address (777 South State Road 7) might lead the superstitious among us to believe the new jobs are just a shot of luck, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports the new jobs come from a big-money bonus.

The Brownfield Bonus, a $400,000 state incentive for build-out facilities, was awarded to Global Response.

The Brownfield Redevelopment Bonus Refund is designed to encourage redevelopment and job creation within designated brownfield areas.

Global Response, owned by the Shooster family, said it plans to add 200 employees by 2014.
