New Voter Information Cards On The Way In Broward

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Voters in Broward should keep an eye out for new voter information cards which will be arriving by mail in the days.

County Supervisor of Elections Dr. Brenda C. Snipes said the cards are being sent to reflect any changes made during the recent redistricting.

"We would like to remind all voters to review the information on their new voter information cards and remember that district numbers may have changed due to redistricting." said Snipes.

Florida re-draws its districts for Congress, state Senate and House districts and County Commission every ten years. The process is supposed to ensure that about the same number of people live in each district and, as a result, each person is equally represented in our government.

Interested voters who don't have their new cards yet but what to know if there are any changes can got the Supervisor of Elections website, www.browardsoe.org, and use the Precinct Finder Tool. The precinct finder allows a voter to enter their address and find the correct precinct. Once the voter's precinct is located, the voter can view the voting districts and their polling place.
