MIAMI (CBS4) – Many Heat fans have spent big money on tickets for game five of the NBA Finals, while others scrambled to find tickets hours before the game.

“I’m sweating, and people are looking at me like I’m crazy, but I really want tickets,” said Heat Fan Daniel Cooper, who spent most of the day running around trying to track down a ticket. He certainly wasn’t alone though.

“I’m from Ohio, I took off work to be here, and I couldn’t miss it,” said Heat Fan Ed Hazley-Ward. “Ed might go broke tonight!”

CBS 4 News checked prices online. The morning of the game, the Heat Exchange’s cheapest price was right under $500 while the most expensive ticket was listed at $6,900.

Meanwhile prices started at $305 for standing room only tickets and went all the way up to $55,884 for courtside seats!

The game starts at 9 p.m. and win or lose, Heat fans believe any money spent on tickets will be money well spent.

“It’s crazy expensive,” said Heat Fan Rik Popat. “This is the hottest ticket in the country right now.”
