Cooper City Chiropractor Accused Of Sexual Battery

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Cooper City chiropractor was charged after he allegedly fondled a patient while administering care.

The 22-year old woman said she had been going to Dr. Enrique Rodriguez at Quantum Chiropractic on N Hiatus Road for the last two months. During her last visit, the woman claims Rodriguez crossed the line.

"On June 6th when she went to see the doctor, he apparently touched her inappropriately and sexually battered her," said Broward Sheriff's spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion.

Broward Sheriff's investigators went to Rodriguez's office on June 12th and he agreed to accompany detectives to the BSO headquarters for an interview but requested legal representation.

"Dr. Rodriguez emphatically denies these charges and looks forward to the opportunity to clear his good name," said Rodriguez's attorney Myles H. Malman. "He is a skilled Chiropractor and practitioner who has an excellent reputation. He is confident that he will be vindicated and put this matter behind him and looks forward to the opportunity to do so."

Rodriguez, who lives in Weston, is facing one count of sexual battery.

The sheriff's office encourages anyone who thinks they may have been touched inappropriately by Rodriguez to Special Victims Unit Detective Sylviane Wernath at (954) 321-4240 or Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS (8477).
