MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A northwest Miami-Dade resident was killed in an early morning house fire.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they received a call around 4:30 a.m. about a person trapped in a home in 3000 block of NW 63rd Street which was on fire.

Arriving fire crews were able to quickly knock down the fire and during a search of the residence found the body of one person.

No word on how the fire started.
