Man Arrested For Miami Airport Bomb Threat Hoax

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – Ft. Lauderdale police have arrested a man they said phoned in a false bomb threat to Miami International Airport.

Frank Currier, 46, reportedly dialed 911 and said there was a chemical bomb in a laptop at the airport. After police determined there was no bomb and no threat of danger, they set about tracing the call.

Their investigation led them to Currier in a home in the 1300 block of SW 7th Street.  Police believe Currier was intoxicated when he made the call.

He was arrested and charged with making a false bomb threat and making a false 911 call.
