SUNRISE (CBSMiami) — Dr. Jill Biden, wife of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, will deliver the commencement address to the 77th graduating class at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale on Friday.

She’ll address students, along with their family members, friends, faculty and staff of the college at the Bank Atlantic Center at 1 Panther Parkway in Sunrise.

More than 3,000 students will be graduating from the college this semester.

Broward College is the first and largest institution of higher education in Broward County.

In about a month, Joe Biden is scheduled to give the commencement address to graduates of Cypress Bay High School, Broward’s largest high school.

Thursday, Mrs. Biden visited the Coast Guard Base Miami Beach to talk with spouses of Coast Guard members.

First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Biden just celebrated the one-year anniversary of Joining Forces, their initiative to honor, recognize and serve veterans, service members and military families.
